Alcoholics Victorious (AV)

The SRM is now sponsoring AV (Alcoholics Victorious) meetings. Basically, AV is like a Christian AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) program. We base our meetings on The Twelve Steps Spiritual Journey Workshop, a step study writing workshop for individuals who grew up in less-than-nurturing or chaotic homes. This workshop uses the Twelve Steps in a Christian context. The meetings work based on Biblical truths and emphasize self-understanding and the unchanging love of God for all humanity.

AV in a nutshell:

• offers tools to restore the fruits of the spirit
• provides a workable formula for confronting the past.
• is a model for surrendering one's life to God.
• reaffirms God's right and power to rule over all of life.
• emphasizes the relationship between the Twelve Steps and the practice of Christian living.
