independence and financial stability.

The Mission accepts donations of new and used cars, SUVs, vans and trucks. The vehicles are then donated or sold below market value to families re-establishing themselves after a significant financial setback. Any proceeds from the sale of donated vehicles are used to support meals, emergency services or rehabilitation programs at Springs Rescue Mission.

Which kinds of auto donations are accepted?

We welcome your donations of cars, SUVs, vans and trucks, but we cannot accept boats or RVs. As our resources are limited, we can accept only cars in running condition or cars in need of minor repairs. Though we offer pickup service for working cars, we do not offer towing service.

Is my gift-in-kind donation tax-deductible?

GIK donations to Springs Rescue Mission are tax-deductible according to IRS regulations. The Mission is a registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charity. Certain auto donations may also qualify for the Enterprise Zone tax credit in addition to normal deductions. Please consult your tax professional for more information about your tax write off as the tax laws changed on January 1, 2005, regarding vehicle donations to charitable organizations

How do I donate a vehicle?

Contact John Lendzion (667-0564, e-mail). If you are unable to drive the vehicle to our facility, we will arrange to pick it up. Cars are only picked up within city limits. Then, Springs Rescue Mission will transfer the title, give you a receipt, and within ten business days, mail IRS Forms 8283 and 1098-C for tax purposes.
