Jack Briggs
President & CEO
Jack Briggs became President & CEO of Springs Rescue Mission in 2020.
He lived in Colorado Springs briefly as an infant before his military father was transferred to Hawaii, and then to California. Briggs returned to Colorado Springs in 1982 to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, graduated in 1986 and then headed to pilot training. He spent the first 20 years of his 31-year military career as a pilot before ascending to leadership, becoming a Major General.
His final role in the Air Force was as Director of Operations for U.S. Northern Command headquarters in Colorado Springs. He served on the board of Springs Rescue Mission in 2017 before his military retirement later that year. In 2018, Briggs and his wife Margaret of 32 years (who share three kids together) moved to the East Coast, where he served as New York University’s vice president of Global Resiliency and Security.
Terry Anderson
Chief Operating Officer
Terry Anderson started with the Springs Rescue Mission in 2013.
Before his foray into the nonprofit world, Anderson spent 31 years in the private and public sectors of the Information Technology industry — leading sales, support and engineering teams serving business clients throughout Southern Colorado.
Terry has held volunteer leadership and board positions in a number of church, nonprofit and community organizations. He currently serves on the board of Cadence International, a Christian non-profit ministering to U.S. and foreign military members around the world. He attends Discovery Church. Terry has a B.S. in Biblical Education from Multnomah University, a Graduate Certificate from UCCS in Nonprofit Management and a M.S. in Human Resource Management from Chapman University.
Travis Williams
Chief Development Officer
Travis Williams has served as Springs Rescue Mission's Chief Development Officer since 2015. Williams loves people and is a global ministry leader who has a passion for helping others live life more abundantly through a relationship with Jesus. Travis is a strategic thought leader and has served global organizations like Focus on the Family and Awana. He’s often called upon as a public speaker and strategist to help organizations get from where they are to where they want to go.
Travis has helped Fortune 500 companies achieve financial success, churches achieve growth, and global non-profits help more people. He’s married to his beautiful wife Devon, has three children and loves to enjoy the beauty of his home state — Colorado.
Jeff Cook
Chief Program Officer
Jeff Cook started with Springs Rescue Mission in August 2013.
He is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he worked in the business and ministry sectors for over 30 years. He has owned and operated multiple businesses, has been a corporate executive with several well-known companies, and oversaw various ministries from churches to private schools. Jeff is a graduate of City Vision University with a bachelor’s degree and an MBA in Nonprofit management. He is currently working on his postgraduate degree at Bakke Graduate University, focusing on Transformational Leadership.
As Chief Program Officer, Jeff oversees the Housing, Health, and Work programs for Springs Rescue Mission. Jeff leads a fantastic team in pioneering transformational programs that provide relief services, restorative programming, and reintegration for the less fortunate in Colorado Springs.
Anissa Boyd
Chief Human Resources Officer
Anissa Boyd joined Springs Rescue Mission in 2022 and became its Chief Human Resources Officer in 2023. She has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has a Master's in Human Resources Management and a B.S. in Psychology. She has written for several professional Human Resources journals and continues to be a routine speaker at various Human Resources and legal events across the country.
Anissa lived in Colorado Springs for a few years during her childhood as she was raised in a military family and is happy to reside here once again. She is married with two adult children and enjoys various church and volunteer activities in her free time.
Keith Schumacher
Chief Financial Officer
Keith Schumacher joined Springs Rescue Mission as Chief Financial Officer in 2021.
Keith has more than 30 years of Fortune 500 corporate, local government and nonprofit financial management and strategic leadership experience. Prior to joining SRM, he was Finance Director at Aon Corporation, Director of Finance and Administration at Diversus Health Services, Senior Budget Consultant at Douglas County Colorado, Chief Financial Officer at The Resource Exchange, and most recently, Chief Financial Officer at Preferred Talent Acquisition Partners.
Keith has a Master’s in Management and Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University and a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Northern State University. He is married and has one son with his wife Lisa, and serves on various nonprofit advisory boards in the Colorado Springs community.
