Springs Rescue Mission:

Meet the Community Champions Powering Hope in Colorado Springs

At Springs Rescue Mission, transformation happens every day. People experiencing homelessness, poverty and addiction find healing, hope and a path forward thanks to the care and compassion of our community. And behind so much of that work are a powerful group of partners we call Community Champions.

“This community of Colorado Springs is full of champions — and we need their support,” said President & CEO Travis Williams. “We couldn’t provide these life-transforming services without the many businesses, churches, private foundations and local government entities that go above and beyond to serve our neighbors in need.”

Who Are the Community Champions?

Community Champions come in many forms, but they all share a common goal: making Colorado Springs amore compassionate, inclusive and hopeful place.

  • Businesses that want to  give back to the communities where they live and work.
  • Churches that extend their reach beyond Sunday services to share love and kindness in tangible ways.‍
  • Foundations and  government agencies that make strategic investments in the lives of those facing homelessness, poverty, and addiction.

“Together, this community has built a powerful chain of unfractured care for individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty and addiction in our city,” Williams said.

How Do They Support the Mission?

Each Community Champion has a unique way of engaging, and each one makes a lasting impact:

  • Some focus on specific programs, like job training or recovery support for veterans.
  • Others contribute to SRM’s broader mission, ensuring 24/7 care for those in need—from a hot meal to a warm bed, and beyond.
  • Many combine financial gifts with volunteer service, rolling up their sleeves alongside their teams:
    • Churches serve together in small groups or as individual members of our volunteer corps.
    • Business teams bond through shared service days, aligning their corporate values with  tangible impact.‍

“Regardless of the specifics, these partnerships help Springs Rescue Mission remain a placeof hope and healing for so many,” Williams said. “We’re so grateful.”

Why Does This Matter?‍

Springs Rescue Mission is more than just a shelter—it's a community of hope. And it takes a whole community to make that possible. With diverse programs including relief services, health care, job training, and Christian care, there’s a meaningful way for every organization to get involved. “Community Champions remind us that generosity isn’t just about writing a check — it’s about investing in the lives of neighbors, creating real change, and being part of a bigger story,” Williams said.

2025 Community Champions

Thanks in large part to our Community Champions, 2025 was a year of unique impact for Springs Rescue Mission. Over the course of the year, SRM served over 5,300 men and women for a combined total of nearly 140,000 bed nights. Our kitchen served over 220,000 meals, while our guests completed over 79,000 hours of job training… to name just a few items worth celebrating!

We couldn’t do it without these faithful partners. Give a virtual round of applause to our 2025 Community Champions! Listed with each entity is the project or program they supported with their generosity in 2025.
