Springs Rescue Mission:

The Mission I See: A Positive Outlook for 2025

Travis Williams, President & CEO of Springs Rescue Mission

Janine celebrating her graduation from the HOPE Program, symbolizing her journey from homelessness to stable work and housing.

As I write my first blog as President & CEO of Springs Rescue Mission, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible journey this ministry has walked and excitement for the future we are building together.

Having served this organization for the past eight years, I’ve seen lives transformed in extraordinary ways—neighbors overcoming addiction, finding stability, and rediscovering hope. As we move into a new season, I’m reminded of Isaiah 43:19--

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

This verse perfectly captures the work God is doing at Springs Rescue Mission. Everyday, He brings hope to the hopeless, restoring broken lives, and making a way forward for neighbors in need. It’s a reminder of the enthusiasm I bring to this work—and none of it would be possible without you.

It’s Your Mission. Whether you’ve prayed, given, or volunteered, your generosity fuels everything we do. Together, we’re creating something bigger than any one of us—a community where lives are transformed and hope thrives.

As we step into 2025, I want to share the principles that will guide us as we serve our neighbors. These five anchors will keep us focused on providing dignity, empowerment, and transformation:

Hospitality: Setting the Tone

Transformation begins with a warm welcome. At Springs Rescue Mission, we are committed to creating a safe and dignified environment where every neighbor feels seen, valued, and loved.

Hospitality isn’t just about meals or shelter—it’s about restoring hope and showing every guest they matter.

Relationship: Fostering Trust

Trust is built through meaningful connections, and relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

At SRM, we go beyond meeting immediate needs. Every conversation and shared moment is an opportunity to encourage growth and celebrate progress. These connections are where true healing begins.

Invitation: Motivating Engagement

Invitation inspires action and provides opportunities to move forward.

Homelessness is not just a lack of shelter—it’s often a loss of connection and purpose. By extending invitations to life-changing programs, we offer neighbors a path to regain health, find dignity through work, and rebuild their lives.

Ownership: Building Responsibility

Empowerment happens when people take ownership of their futures.

Through job training, financial literacy, and life skills programs, SRM equips neighbors with the tools and confidence they need to become independent and thrive within their communities. Ownership is a bridge to lasting success.

Transformation: Achieving Lasting Change

Everything we do is about transformation—witnessing God’s redemptive work in action.

At Springs Rescue Mission, lives are being restored, addictions overcome, and hope renewed. Transformation is evidence of God’s faithfulness, and I believe 2025will bring even more stories of redemption and healing.

As I begin this new chapter as CEO, I am more confident than ever that Springs Rescue Mission is making a lasting difference in Colorado Springs. Together, we are creating a community where neighbors find hope and lasting change.

It’s Your Mission. Your prayers, generosity, and support make this work possible. Thank you for walking alongside neighbors in need. I’m excited to see what God will do through this mission in 2025 and beyond.
