How can I attend a Volunteer Orientation?
If you would like to attend a Volunteer Orientation, please visit the Volunteer Portal. In the top right corner, click “Create Account” and follow the steps. Once you’ve created your account, you will be able to view all available orientations and sign up for the time that works best for you. How old do you have to be to volunteer?
SRM has established a minimum age requirement of 18 years for all volunteers on campus. This policy reinforces our commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for all guests we serve as well as for our volunteers. We understand that many young people are eager to make a difference, and we encourage them to get involved in other ways. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to your support as we work together to help homeless neighbors in our community.

Where should I park? After I park, where should I go?
Volunteers are asked to park in our visitor parking lot located at 59 W. Las Vegas Street. There is no permit required to park in this lot.
After parking, all volunteers must check in at our volunteer & visitor entrance located in our administration building at 5 W. Las Vegas Street.
To assist you with this entire process, here is our Parking & Visitor Map.
Can I take a tour of the SRM campus?
Yes! We would love to give you a tour of the SRM campus. All volunteer orientations include a campus tour to help familiarize you with Springs Rescue Mission.
Just curious about SRM and what we do? We also host weekly tours for interested groups & individuals separate from Volunteer Orientation. Email tours@springsrescuemission.org or watch our video campus tour located below.
What volunteer opportunities are available for groups?
Groups of 4-10 people can volunteer in our kitchen or with our facilities department.
Who can I contact with questions about volunteering?
Please email volunteer@springsrescuemission.org with any questions.
Do I have to create an account if I want to volunteer?
Yes, all volunteers must create an online account through our volunteer portal. This helps our staff plan for your visit to ensure you have a great experience.
How many people can I bring in my group?
Our group sizes range from 4-10 people. If you’re hoping to bring a group larger than 10, you may be asked to split your group between shifts or tasks across campus. Please contact us to see if we can accommodate your group larger than 10.
If you would like to volunteer with a group of 2-3 people, each person can sign up as an individual through the volunteer portal.
What should my group expect when volunteering in the kitchen for the first time?
First-time groups will receive a campus tour and a staff member from our Volunteer Team will escort you to the kitchen. While in the kitchen, our chefs will instruct your group and assign tasks. Kitchen volunteers may help with chopping vegetables, prepping food, serving food, organizing donations, deep cleaning, preparing sack lunches, or other tasks as needed.
When we show someone new around, we hear four words over and over again – "I had no idea". We want to make it possible for everyone to experience what's happening at your Mission.
Every dollar you donate will be matched,
doubling the impact you have
on homeless neighbors in your community!
Help us reach our goal by September 30!
